Essential Umrah Supplications: Complete Guide from Ihram to Tahallul

Supplication (dua) is one of the greatest acts of worship during Umrah. The pilgrim is a guest of the Most Merciful, and their prayers are answered by Allah's will. In this comprehensive guide, we present all recommended supplications at each stage of Umrah.

Ihram Intention and Talbiya

When entering Ihram at the Miqat:

When making the intention for Ihram, say:

Labbayk Allahumma Umrah (Here I am, O Allah, for Umrah)

The Talbiya:

After Ihram, continuously repeat:

Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la shareeka laka labbayk, innal hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, la shareeka lak

(Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Praise, grace, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.)

Continue the Talbiya until reaching the Haram and beginning Tawaf.

Tawaf Supplications

When touching the Black Stone:

Bismillah, Allahu Akbar (In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest)

Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone (each round):

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhab an-nar

(Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.)

General supplications during Tawaf:

  • Allahumma inni as'aluka al-'afwa wal-'afiya fid-dunya wal-akhira
  • Allahumma ighfir li dhunubi waftah li abwaba rahmatik

Note: There is no specific supplication for each round. Supplicate with whatever good you wish.

Supplication After Tawaf (at Maqam Ibrahim)

After completing 7 rounds, pray 2 rak'at behind Maqam Ibrahim:

  • First rak'a: Al-Fatiha + Surah Al-Kafirun
  • Second rak'a: Al-Fatiha + Surah Al-Ikhlas

Then supplicate to Allah with whatever you wish.

Sa'i Supplications Between Safa and Marwa

When ascending Safa:

Inna as-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah (Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah) — said on the first round only

Then face the Kaaba and say:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.

Repeat 3 times with supplications in between.

During Sa'i:

Supplicate freely. Among reported supplications:

  • Rabbi ighfir warham innaka antal-a'azzul-akram
  • Allahummaj'alni min 'ibadika as-salihin

Supplication When Drinking Zamzam Water

Before drinking Zamzam water:

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan wasi'an, wa shifa'an min kulli da'

(O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and healing from every disease.)

The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Zamzam water is for whatever purpose it is drunk for' — so supplicate for whatever you wish.

Supplication at the Multazam

The Multazam is the area between the Black Stone and the door of the Kaaba. It's one of the best places for supplication:

Allahumma ya Rabba al-bayti al-'atiq, a'tiq riqabana wa riqaba aba'ina wa ummahatina min an-nar
